Program advertisements & Saturday's photos

ADVERTISING IN THE PROGRAM

We have allocated 4 pages of our program to advertising this year  -- this is a great way to bring attention to your business or any initiative that you would like to publicize.
If not yourself, you may know of  a local business that would appreciate this opportunity.

Ads can be in either of 2 sizes:

• 1/4 of a program page, [$35] 
• 1/8 of a program page (business card size), [$25].
  

NOTE: The 1/4 page ad measures approximately 4"x2.5". The 1/8 page ad measures approximately 2"x2.5".

Ads  must be emailed to enurthen@yahoo.com, as soon as possible, and no later than Friday, February 18. Ad files can be in MS-Word, or PDF file form.

Ad payment checks must be written out to "GVMS", and given to Hilary Smith at rehearsal, or mailed to Hilary at this address: 119 Charlestown Hunt Drive  Phoenixville, PA 19460. Hilary can be reached at 610-415-0668(home) or 610-470-0695(cell).

Volunteers needed!

WARDROBE HELP NEEDED DURING PERFORMANCES

Need at least one parent per performance and also during the Saturday dress rehearsal to be backstage in the boys and girls wardrobe areas.  Parents help keep the areas neat (remind the kids to pick up their clothes!), help with costume changes, and assist the cast members with any costume issues.  You can watch the show from the back if there are no costume changes going on during certain scenes. 

Please indicate which performances you would be able to assist with:

• Feb 26 - Saturday Dress Rehearsal
• March 3 - Thursday night performance
• March 4 - Friday night performance
• March 5 - Saturday Matinee
• March 5 - Saturday Evening Performance

Set & Crew Needs

Set Design Additional Wish List
- Small lamp shade (white/off white) - approx. 10" height and 8 to 12" diameter

Our stage manager Tony Zalis is in need of help back stage.  He will make a schedule and you won't need to be backstage for all the shows so you will have an opportunity to watch your cherub(s) perform.   We need lots of help and he especially needs some Dads as there will be sizable set pieces to move.  Please consider signing up to help and contact Tony at azalis@aol.com --everyone looks good in black!

ONLY. Everyone else can go home on the bus and we'll see you at GENERAL WAYNE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL on Saturday for rehearsal 9-3PM. Be sure to bring water & snacks. Lunch/pizza is provided.

ART CONTEST!!

Rules:

1. Original art must be black and white with minimal wording.
2. Entries must be no larger than 8 1/2” x 11”.
3. Must be able to be photocopied – (make it dark enough)
4. Return design no later than Feb 16.
5. Drop your entry off in the school office in the designated box.
6. Put your name and team on the BACK of the design.

Notes from Saturday

Monday night rehearsal: dialogue rehearsal -- Peter, Tink, Wendy, John, Michael, Mr. & Mrs. Darling, Liza, named Lost Boys, Hook, Smee, Starkey, Tiger Lily

Please bring homework and/or be prepared to spend down time memorizing lines if you are not already off-book. You MUST be off book by this Saturday.

THIS THURSDAY IS A LEADS REHEARSAL

We only need the following people:

• all Lost Boys
• all Darlings
• Hook
• Smee
• Mr. Starkey
• Tiger Lily
• Peter
• Tink

Everyone else is free to go home after school on Thursday, 2/10.

Our cast and crew are hard at work getting ready for the last three weeks of rehearsals!!

SATURDAY FEB. 5TH REHEARSAL STARTS @ 10AM

Because of possible weather issues (AGAIN), we're going be starting rehearsal at 10AM tomorrow morning instead of 9AM.

AGAIN: THAT'S 10AM-3PM TOMORROW AT GVMS.

Please be advised that at 10, not all of the parking lots and driveways will necessarily be cleared so BE CAREFUL as you come into rehearsal.

AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES CANCELED

Due to the anticipated inclement weather, rehearsal today has been canceled.

This means it is CRUCIAL that you ALL know ALL of your lyrics and movements for Thursday. This year with all the snow, you have more responsibility to work on the material yourselves. Without your support, we won't be able to get everything done!

• Smee, Starkey, Hook: have "Goodbye Peter Pan" memorized
• Peter & Wendy: memorize lyrics to "Why?" (Ally, we will teach you a different alto harmony, but be sure you know your words), work on getting off-book with your lines
• Lost Boys: be completely off-book for all scenes we have rehearsed, have "We're Going Home" memorized
• Darlings: be off-book for the first scene
• John & Michael: be off-book for the first scene as well as all of the Lost Boy scenes you are in that we've rehearsed, have "We're Going Home" memorized

Know your cues! Know your exits and entrances! Know your blocking!

PRACTICE YOUR DANCE MOVEMENTS IN THE SNOW! 

Perform them with your friends! For your parents, your dogs, your stuffed animals! 

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

Comment here with anything you feel the cast needs to work on (for example: movements for Come Away, vocals for Braves to War, the blocking for the Darlings' opening scene, etc.)
