Parents: good with make-up?

Dear Parents of "Once On This Island" cast,
We are thrilled to have the following volunteers on the Hair & Make-up Committee and look forward to working with you:
-  Julia Tseng - Co Chair
-  Wendy Leland - Co Chair
-  Nicole Sakowitz - Designer
-  Kim Stillwell
-  Dee Pancoast
-  Sunita Baghele
-  Caroline Ellis
-  Suzanna Morgenweck
-  Sharon Ford

As you may know, most of the time spent on this committee is during the dress rehearsal (Saturday, 25 Feb) and right before performance time (1, 2, 3 March).
But we will have one short meeting at 6:30 on Wednesday, 22 February at GWES in the Make Up room.
Please let us know your availability for the dress rehearsal and the shows at that time.
We have almost 100 actors to be made up within one hour prior to the show.
No one will have to work every show, but we are in need of more volunteers
This is one of the great positions where you get to be with the excited kids right before performing and join in their energy!
This year's production does not require elaborate hair or make-up. Everyone is qualified!
For those of you volunteering, please let us know if you prefer to work with hair or make-up. We will be doing some various braids on the peasant women and more sophisticated styles on the townswomen.
Call/email Wendy/Julia if you have any questions or concerns.  Wendy: 610.983.9032 (home) or 610.952.1973 (cell); Julia: 610.608.8967

Thanks again for volunteering!

Help for the cast party needed!

CAST PARTY CANDY NEEDED  and CAST PARTY CHAPERONE, SET-UP AND CLEAN UP HELP NEEDED

The cast party is looking for candy donations that will be used in the souvenir mug the kids will receive as a cast party favor.  Each child will receive a "Once on This Island" mug filled with candy and a photo with an island themed photo holder.
Please make sure that all donated candy consists of small, wrapped pieces, and that they contain no nuts.  Hershey kisses and hard candy are great.  If you can help, please have your child bring a bag of candy by drop off on 2/25.
If you would like to volunteer helping the cast party crew assemble the mugs on 2/25 in the morning at GWES, that would be very much appreciated.  Please contact Rita Stern at 484.678.4535 or rita @ mrs-stern.com.  It is a great time to buy after Valentine Day's candy.  The kids really look forward to the Cast Party.

Also, any parents wanting to help chaperone, set-up or clean-up after the cast party please contact Rita as well. Thanks again for your support.

Parent volunteers needed for performances!

The "Front of the House" team has responsibility for ushering and selling flowers, show momentos, and good luck grams. The usher team is primarily comprised of students but we do need at least one adult per show to oversee the student ushers. For both ushering and selling we ask that you be at the performance 30-45  minutes prior to the show. Sales volunteers will sell prior to the performance as well as during intermission. We have the need for additional help at the following performances:
Thursday, March 1st - 1 volunteer to help with sales
Friday, March 2nd - 1 volunteer to help with sales
Saturday, March 3rd @ 2:00 PM - 1 volunteer to head the ushers and 4 volunteers to sell
Saturday, March 3rd @ 7:00 PM - 1 volunteer with sales
Please contact Debi Lynch at lynchkg2 @ comcast.net or 484.320.8299 or Sharon Mills Zalis at shzalis @ aol.com or 610.420.1381 if you can help.
Thank you!
