Well, here's your chance! We need about five adults to learn our fog machine operation so Oz can at times be a spooky place!!!
We need two adults for a few rehearsals and at each performance, so if you are cross-trained you can share the duties.
Please let either Carrie Kenndy or Linda Day know as soon as possible so we can set up a training session.

Props - we need some stuff!
There are many props in the Wizard of Oz. We need a few more to bring the show to life. We are hoping you have access to some items we can use. Please contact Linda Sheaffer at 267-474-9801 or daysheaffer@comcast.net if you think you have something on our list. If you are unsure, take a photo and send it to me, or bring it Saturday. (We'd like to have these to use by Saturday.)
Please - no items of significant monetary or sentimental value. We make every effort to take very good care of our loaned props, but there is a chance the item could get lost or broken.
- Bicycle: Mrs. Gulch's bike - see above photo. Plain old fashioned bike. Like the ones used at the shore. Color does not matter as we will use fabric to make it black. No gears or fenders. Must have inflated tires as it will actually be used.
- Incubator: something to represent a chick incubator - a small metal bin of sorts - about 2' x 1' but can be smaller - no lid needed
- Bales of straw: 3 (not hay, as it is too messy)
- Metal pail
- Crystal ball
- Large Clear Ball - ( over 1' diameter) can be made of any material - to represent a gigantic crystal ball
- Small whiskey barrels (2 needed)
- Large old oil can
- Long thick cord (at least 4 feet) with large tassel on the end
- Two fabric chair covers (to cover two folding chairs and make them look a little more fancy)
- Frilly girls bedspread and dust ruffle for twin or double bed
- Old pair of women's small slippers or flat shoes (these will not be returned and will be decorated with sequins)
- Horse bridle
- Turban ( any color)
- Large Paper plates with a spiral, tie-dye or solid color (about 12).
- SIlver picture frame (8 x 10)
- Old straw hats ( these will be decorated with blue ribbons and other items for Munchkinland scene)

Please help us on Saturday!
Please help!!
Losing our set construction time last Saturday put us behind in our set completion! Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Older Siblings - we really need your help to paint! You need not be a skilled painter! Even if you can only spare a few minutes of time, your help is critically needed for:
- Simple one-color paint applications
- (or if you are creative) - faux "rocks" for the Witches castle
So if you are a creative painter, or if you simply only know how to hold a brush, please help us!
We will be painting during rehearsal at the Middle School from 9am - 4:30pm and your help is greatly appreciated for any duration during this time!

Program Ads Needed - URGENT!
Hi Parents of Cast Members and Cast Members-
Ads for the Wizard of Oz Program are due on Saturday, February 16th. We have had a very low response - please do not wait until the last minute to get these to us. The funds generated from these ads cover our program printing costs and many other critical musical expenses.
- It would really help if you could supply an ad! Ads start at only $25 - this is a reasonable amount for a business to pay and reach hundreds of people.
- It's easy! How about asking your piano teacher, voice teacher, dance instructor, sports facility, your favorite pizza shop, restaurant? Or maybe your family can provide a congratulatory ad for a cast member.
- Don't worry about exact sizing.
- Please reach out and make a phone call or two tonight.
- Ads do not have to be fancy - for example just one line congratulating a cast member. Here are some additional ideas:
Your ad can promote or feature:
- A product or service
- A sports program
- A local business
- An upcoming event
- Congratulate a cast member(s)
- Be creative!
